지구가 멈추는 날(The Day the Earth Stood Still,2008)

The original film of this movie was in 1951 with same sci-fi title. The synopsis maybe slightly changed.

The story is very boring and gives many vague messages. In addition to an attempt to give a lesson to audience, there is no certain relationship between cause and result. The alien Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) realizes that there might be a hope for the human to recover mistakes and gives a chance in the end. The most interesting scene was that kind of insect robots multiply rapidly with eating artificial structures that is made by human. They behave like locusts in large groups and eat everything except for the nature.

The main message of this movie is to give a sort of warning to the humankind on the earth. For example, endless selfishness and without sinking oneself to the other thing on the earth.

European maybe interested in this type of story, it is said that this title has topped UK box office. On the contrary, I heard that many people went out theater with a deep sigh and was bitterly disappointed with the ambiguous.
